The Xavier High School mock trial team ended the season with a 2-2 record and received an honorable mention in the State Championships.
Justin Caulfield ‘23, Tim Gagliano ‘21, Marko Vidackovic ‘22, Nathaniel Kerr ‘24, and Donny Frost ‘21 received recognition as lawyers. Alec Pawlowicz ‘22 and Cormac Burke ’24 received recognition as witnesses.
“The mock trial team did an excellent job this year preparing for our competitions,” moderator Aaron King said. “This is particularly impressive considering they had to do so much of the work on their own.”
Trials were held virtually because of COVID-19. Lawyers help prep mock trial teams, but that was limited this year, too. The majority of the those receiving recognition are underclassmen so that bodes well for the future.
