An Easter Week Mass was held Wednesday at Xavier, reminding all that is a time to continue to celebrate the risen Christ and God’s love for us.
It is a time of rebirth. Hopes and dreams renewed.
“Easter is a time to say the world is a dark place, a place where crosses are carved and nails are driven …. yet there is God who makes something out of the very worst we have … makes us capable to proclaim the power of the resurrection precisely because we have walked to a wounded place,” Father Martin Curtin of St. Pius X told those gathered as the sun shone outside.
Darkness has given way to light.
Members of the Xavier community who recently died were remembered in prayer, one of them being longtime Athletic Director Artie Kohs, whose name is on the floor where the Xavier Masses are celebrated each month.
