Xavier High School is proud to announce the hiring of Kyle Cifarelli as the school’s full-time Athletic Trainer. Since October 2021, Kyle has been a vital part of our athletic program, serving Xavier as an employee of Select Physical Therapy. Now, in this expanded role, he will continue to provide exceptional care to the over 350 student-athletes competing across our 18 sports programs.
As Athletic Trainer, Kyle will oversee injury prevention, on-site care, and rehabilitation for Xavier’s student-athletes. His role ensures that our students are not only able to perform at their best but are also protected and supported throughout their athletic journeys.
“Kyle has been an integral member of our team for more than three years,” said Xavier Director of Athletics Dan DeConti ’01. “He has built meaningful relationships with our athletes and coaches while providing top-notch care and guidance. This next step solidifies our commitment to ensuring the health and safety of every Xavier athlete.”
Kyle’s responsibilities include developing injury prevention programs, assessing and treating injuries during practices and games, designing rehabilitation plans for injured athletes, and educating students and coaches on best practices for health and performance. His work ensures a safe, inclusive, and high-performing environment for every Falcon on the field, court, track, and more.
“Kyle is amazing at what he does, and our student-athletes absolutely adore him,” Interim Head of School Nick Cerreta ’01 said. “He is always there for them and takes such great care of them. Kyle also has a great network of contacts with doctors and specialists and is always able to have our boys seen very quickly for further evaluation, which is so crucial to their recovery.”
With Kyle’s dedication, Xavier High School continues to prioritize the well-being of its student-athletes and the strength of its athletic program. His presence at practices, games, and throughout the school day provides peace of mind for players, parents, and coaches alike.
“This is my fourth year at Xavier High School. It’s crazy how time flies when you’re surrounded and working with great people,” Cifarelli said. “I feel extremely fortunate and gracious to have found a place where morals, work ethic, and vision all align. Thank you all so much.”
