On Friday, February 21, the entire Xavier High School community gathered for a special assembly featuring Deacon Art Miller from the Connecticut Center for Nonviolence.
Deacon Miller shared his firsthand experiences from the Civil Rights Movement, offering a profound and moving reflection that deeply resonated with our students. His words served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made in the pursuit of justice and the responsibility we all share in building a more just and compassionate world, especially fitting during Black History Month.
His message about part of being a Christian is to love one another without exception was well received. He gave our students important reminders that we are all of our brothers keeper at Xavier.
Thank you to Mr. Braychak and members of My Brothers Keeper on organizing this important discussion.
