Dear Xavier Families,

As we approach next week's midterm exams, it’s been a busy and productive week filled with faith, creativity, and community here at Xavier.

We began the week with a beautiful Christmas prayer service on Monday morning. Our peer ministers delivered a heartfelt production, reminding us all of the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of living our Xaverian values. Their words and performances set the tone for a season of reflection, gratitude, and joy.

I also recently began meeting individually with every freshman to review their first-quarter report cards. This week, I wrapped up my one-on-one meetings with the Class of 2028. It has been a privilege to connect personally with our newest students, hear their perspectives, and celebrate their early successes as members of the Xavier community.

On Tuesday, our campus was filled with creativity and talent during the Winter Art Show. Under the guidance of Ms. Vitale, our students showcased impressive works of art, demonstrating the integral role the arts play in shaping our well-rounded community. That same evening, we gathered with our Mercy High School family for the Winter Concert at their campus. This collaborative event, now in its second year, was a wonderful celebration of music, partnership, and shared mission. Nights like these remind us that, together, we truly are two schools, one family.

This week, we also took time to bring some festive fun to campus with two spirited events. On Thursday, our Big Falcons and Little Falcons paired up for Twin Day, sporting matching outfits that fostered rapport and camaraderie across our community. On Friday, students donned their most creative and colorful attire for our annual Ugly Sweater/Christmas Outfit contest. These events provided joyful breaks for our students, offering them a chance to relax and celebrate the season as they gear up for midterm exams.

Thank you for your continued support as we prepare our students for midterms and the Advent season. We are blessed to have such a vibrant and committed community.

I wanted to share this passage from our XBSS Partners in Mission document:

“Trust is total confidence in our God and our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is the meeting place of mind, heart, faith, and courage. This trust allows people to look toward the transcendent to grow in faith in spite of life’s difficulties. It flourishes in contemplation and encourages, enlightens, and inspires all believers.”

Here are this week's updates and announcements...
