Parent Weekly Newsletter - December 20

Dear Xavier Families,

As we reach the end of our midterm exams, I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible effort our students have shown since the start of the school year. From their focus in the classroom to their dedication in athletics, clubs, and service opportunities, they have embraced every challenge and opportunity with determination and heart. This week’s exams were the culmination of that hard work, and they have truly earned a well-deserved break.

As we move closer to Christmas, I want to wish you and your families a peaceful and blessed holiday season. Whether you are traveling to visit loved ones or celebrating at home, I hope this time brings the chance to rest, reflect, and enjoy the company of those who matter most.

At Xavier, the partnership between school and family is the foundation of everything we do. We are grateful for the trust you place in us as we guide your sons on their journey of growth in mind, body, and spirit. It is a privilege we value every day.

Every morning during the Advent season, our students, faculty, and staff were invited to participate in our Advent Wreath Prayer Service before first period. This time of year reminds us to prepare our hearts with hope and gratitude as we await the joy and light of Christmas.

On behalf of the entire Xavier community, I wish you a blessed and joyful Christmas. May the season fill your hearts with peace and hope for the year ahead.

I wanted to share this passage from our XBSS Partners in Mission document:

“As members of a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School community we entrust ourselves to the providence of God, who knows, understands, and loves us. Trusting in God, and our brothers and sisters, we can live out God’s plan for us. Trust requires that we provide time and space for contemplation of God’s will for us.”

Here are this week's updates and announcements...

- Parents: Your sons have been reminded of our hair and grooming policy. If your son is in need of a haircut, please make sure he has it taken care of before we return from break. A reminder that burst fades are not allowed. There is no reason for your son to come back to school in January with hair out of dress code. Failure to do so will result in detention.
