Dear Xavier Families,
It was a short, but incredibly productive and fun week for our students! Today, we held our much-anticipated annual Mercy/Xavier Walk-A-Thon, and it was a heartwarming display of the wonderful relationship we share with Mercy High School. We truly are two schools, one family!
Before our friends from Mercy arrived, we kicked off the morning with an energetic Fall Sports Pep Rally, celebrating the achievements and spirit of our fall sports teams. Adding to the excitement, we held a lively relay race and a pie-eating contest, with the seniors taking home the victory in the relay. The pie-eating contest was a hit, enjoyed by all and a great way to bring everyone together!
I want to extend a sincere thank you to all the parents who supported our Walk-A-Thon by sharing their sons' pages. Thanks to your efforts and the generosity of over 1,400 donors, we raised more than $103,000! As a reward for this impressive achievement, our students have earned an additional day off. Please mark your calendars - there will be no school on Monday, February 10.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping make Xavier such a remarkable community.
I wanted to share this passage from our XBSS Partners in Mission document:
"Zeal enables us to share God's love as nourishment for others, as bread that is broken through a life of gospel ser vice. Zeal unifies the Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School community in single-minded devotion and intense passion for the formation of the whole person, bringing about the more abundant life proclaimed by Jesus Christ"

In addition, Mr. Halligan will also be offering a virtual presentation open to all of our parents. We strongly encourage ALL parents, who have yet to see his presentation, to view a link that will be shared. Because of the sensitive nature of the topic, we wanted to inform parents of freshmen and transfer students about the presentation in advance.

Dress is semi-formal: shirt, tie, jacket. Mercy juniors and seniors are able to purchase tickets through a separate link sent to them. Please contract Mrs. Keereweer with any questions. Students are not allowed to leave before 10:00 pm.
