Dear Xavier Families,
It was another successful week for our Falcons, capped off earlier today with the Opening of School Mass. Reverend Peter J. Langevin, Chancellor of the Diocese of Norwich, celebrated the Mass and delivered a powerful and inspiring message that resonated with everyone in attendance. It was a beautiful way to come together as a community and mark the beginning of the school year.
After the Mass, we had the privilege of recognizing and honoring our students for their outstanding academic achievements from the past year. Their dedication and hard work are a testament to the spirit of excellence we strive for at Xavier.
This week also included our annual Safety & Respect Assembly, reinforcing important values for our students and reviewing school security procedures. The junior class heard a presentation on leadership from Dan Jaskot '98 of Empower Leadership.
On Thursday evening, we hosted our Senior Parent College Meeting. It was a great success, with plenty of important information shared to help guide families through the college application process.
As we move forward, I remain proud of our students' accomplishments and look forward to many more positive moments throughout the year.
Thank you for your continued support and trust in Xavier High School.
I wanted to share this passage from our XBSS Partners in Mission document:
"We, Xaverian Brothers and partners in mission, are a Christian community, striving to fulfill the spiritual aspirations that Theodore James Ryken had for his Congregation. Following the path of our founder, we are called to live ordinary lives that give witness to God's unconditional love. We believe that the Xaverian calling is a way of being put in our place, a place of humility and simplicity, from which we receive the grace to turn toward God, fall in love with God, and put ourselves in God's service as followers of Jesus Christ."
Here are this week's updates and announcements...

We will have signs available at the September 17 Parent Mini-Schedule Night as well.
