Dear Xavier Families,
We hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! It has been a fantastic first week of classes here at Xavier. Our freshmen are settling into life at the school, quickly acclimating to the pace of study and the Xavier way of life. We're excited to watch them grow throughout the year!
Today, we are hosting the 42nd Annual Alumni Golf Classic at Portland Golf Course. The event sold out once again, with more than 100 Xavier alumni coming together to support our students. Thanks to their generosity, our Alumni & Development Office raised over $200,000 for financial aid for the upcoming year!
Looking ahead, we are thrilled to invite everyone to our Grandparents Mass this Sunday, September 8. This special event is open to all faith traditions, and you do not need to be a grandparent or have a grandparent in your group to attend. We hope to see you there for this meaningful celebration.
As we look ahead to a new month and academic year on Randolph Road, I wanted to share this passage from our XBSS Partners in Mission document:
"From its inception in the United States, a Xaverian education emphasized two principal coordinates of Catholic identity: the formation of students in faith and the love of God, and a strong academic program to prepare them to make their contribution to our world. Students in Xaverian schools come to discover God in the ordinary events of their lives as Xaverian education continues to inspire lives of learning, faith, and service."
Here are this week's updates and announcements...
