Are you a passionate Visual Arts educator ready to inspire young minds in a dynamic, academically challenging, and community-focused school? Xavier High School, an all-boys, Catholic, college preparatory school located in Middletown, CT is seeking a part time (.6 position) High School Visual Arts Teacher to join its diverse and thriving educational community. The teacher will teach three classes per semester. Cross endorsements in other departments strongly encouraged to apply as there might be potential for a split, full-time position.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will:
• Hold at least a bachelor's degree in Art, or a similar field
• Have a passion for teaching Art and a commitment to inspiring young minds to inquiry, reflection, and improvement
• Experience teaching at the high school or middle school level
• Have an eagerness to develop enduring personal relationships with students, faculty, and staff
• Be able to teach AP Drawing and AP Art and Design (Art History is also a plus)
• Possess a strong dedication to fostering a classroom culture that is inclusive and that respects and celebrates diversity of all forms
• Express a desire to contribute to Xavier High School's strong tradition of academic and extra-curricular excellence
• Express a willingness to support Xavier’s mission of developing young men physically, academically, and spiritually
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office and have experience using learning management systems such as Black Baud, Canvas, Microsoft Teams, etc.
• Possess superior interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Hold at least a bachelor's degree in Art, or a similar field
